ALASKA 2025 PART 2: WATER

Another first on our Alaska trip was a cruise.  The Husband and I, in our years and years of life have never been on a cruise ship.  Fishing boats, paddle boats, even the Queen Mary, yes.  Cruise ships, no.  Well....We.  Loved.  It.     Who knew?  Once I got past the expanse of water and the miracle this big big boat on this water and as soon as I forgot the Titanic, I was good as long as I didn't watch the water.  Then I got a bit sick, but no full fledged motion sickness.  It was a little odd on occasion when the water was rougher to feel the boat moving in "waves".  Our room was great, thanks to The Son-In-Law and The Girl for giving us the larger back of the boat with a big balcony room.  Food was so very good and, for the most part, available all the time.  The weather was misty rain pretty much most of the time and cloudy skies and coolish on occasion but we were prepared with the right gear.   Cruisin'.......

We watched the Sunday morning church service while we ate breakfast....

Bet Jonathan had never preached on a cruise ship in Alaska before...

There was ice cream.  Daily.  Multiple times.  Unlimited.  These two were regular ice cream eaters.

Food, all kinds.....here's lobster.  The Grandbaby had quite an appetite..

A first for me....Baked Alaska in Alaska....

Some prefer chocolate lava cake in Alaska....

....and bread.

But most of all....ice cream.

There was Room Service.  Every single morning but not in our room...in the room of others in our group.  And then there was breakfast in the dining room.

The girls enjoyed a hair do time...

and the young one enjoyed shopping....

There was putt-putt golf...in the very cold.

...and towel animals every day.

 Napkin folding class...

swimming in the indoor pool....

a theater....

Disney trivia....

....rock climbing....

...and snoozing while cruising.

To avoid your boredom and my fatigue, I will highlight the ports we stopped and enjoyed next post.

Stay tuned!
